2023, Materials Chemistry and PhysicsCitation Excerpt :Recently, serum amyloid A (SAA) has attracted research community towards its use as an efficient biomarker for specific and sensitive detection of swine flu. SAA is an alpha-globulin protein which belongs to apolipoprotein family, weighing ∼12 kDa with the gene expression in chromosome 11 [14,15]. SAA is secreted in higher concentrations (μg per unit mL) with a distinguishable cut off range in swine flu infected patients.
