Exponentiation of the log OR for the intercept gives OR for outcome relative to residents in Health Survey for England (HSE) low-deprivation areas; Exponentiation of the log OR for the slope in HSE low-deprivation areas gives the OR for outcome per two-year advance in time in the reference group; A negative slope coefficient indicates greater reduction in the outcome (ie, a more marked improvement in health and its social determinants) over time compared with the reference group.
