AB  - A public health education campaign to encourage early reporting of breast symptoms was held in Southampton during February 1981. General practitioners kept a record of women Consulting them about breast symptoms. The results were confounded by a recording behaviour effect but provided no evidence of a pronounced increase in their work load. There was no overall increase in hospital outpatient work load.
