    In this issue, we throw light on various issues, groups and geographical areas that are hidden in the shadows. Sometimes, we get really excited about the offerings which we bring you in this journal, and this month brings a largess of riches. In particular, Clarence Tam’s “Newspeak for epidemiologists” seems destined to be a classic resource paper that will make public health academics sit up and think. Reductionism in epidemiology is no longer sufficient, and any sentient academic will be challenged by Clarence’s contribution.
