Not much is less healthy than a Healthy Hospital

The problem with Healthy Hospitals is that the programmes tend not to deal with the unhealthy consequences of hospitalisation. Iatrogenic complications of medical treatment are among the commonest causes of medical admission to hospital, and once in hospital the public is faced with a veritable obstacle race of hospital acquired infection and the side effects of what is done to them. Healthy Hospitals should begin with primum non nocere (or "above all do no harm" for those who never went to grammar school).
